#PrideMonth celebrates and uplifts LGBTQ voices, culture, and rights, marking the June 1969 Stonewall Riots. While challenges remain, continuing this tradition raises awareness, improves societal attitudes, and promotes inclusiveness.

To honour Pride Month 2024 on social media, start by sharing educational content about LGBTQ+ history and personal stories. Use inclusive hashtags like #Pride2024, #LoveIsLove, and #LGBTQ to increase visibility. Support LGBTQ+ creators and businesses by promoting artists, writers, and entrepreneurs from the community.

That’s nearly it, but I’ve just got one more awareness day to finish with……….

#SocialMediaDay on 30th June celebrating all the great relationships you have built on social media. There’s one main tradition that is observed on Social Media Day and that is, of course, posting about it on social media. Many people upload photos or stories that reflect the role that social media has played in their lives. Others choose to repost their favourite uploads from the past and generally it is a chance for people to share some love online. Many websites use Social Media Day as an opportunity to compile lists of some of their favourite social media moments. If you have a spare 20 minutes or so it is well worth your time to find some of these lists and enjoy some of the funniest, most viral social media posts knocking around like The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge or the Worldwide Breast Cancer’s #KnowYourLemons campaign.

And that’s it for June content ideas! Thanks so much for listening.

If you post content having listened to this, let us know in the comments and keep an eye out for our July Awareness Dates soon.

Happy post-creating.
